Closed Loop Systems

A closed loop system means that the water used to produce or dye something is used in a cycle like manner. It significantly reduces water usage by forcing manufacturers to reuse at every applicable opportunity vs. continuously disposing. Due to the fact most public systems make water readily available no questions asked, manufacturers use it with the idea there is an endless supply. While that may feel like the case now, we know it can't last forever.

On average, it takes 1,800 gallons to produce a pair of jeans. That's equivalent to leaving the water running while you brush your teeth every single day for a year.
